5 Tips for Bringing Spring Into Your Home
Happy Easter to you!
I hope you are enjoying all the chocolate and managed to get a sprinkle of sunshine this week, wherever you are.
Now that sunnier days are on their way, my Spring mojo is rising and I've been deep in Spring mood boards and home updates to celebrate the new season. Time to bring an air of spring love into our home.
Here are my top 5 tips for bringing Spring into your home!
Make an entrance
I absolutely adore the trend for porch decor, it’s such a forgotten spot but as it’s the entrance to your home - why not add a touch of spring! Some of my favourite things I have seen are Spring wreaths, seasonal welcome mats and herb gardens. Here are some great ideas for DIY Spring wreaths, but if you’re not in the DIY mood then take a look at Dominique at The Quaye Life with Love who handmakes beautiful faux floral door wreaths.
Add the scent of Spring
Add candles and diffusers around your home for a great way to lift your mood! Switch to light, zesty and floral scents to bring in the smell of Spring; I am in love with this Jasmine & Peony candle from Oliver Bonas.
Sprinkle new colours in your kitchen
I’ve seen some beautiful tables for Spring and Easter, amazing spring centrepieces and plenty of flowers on display. New kitchen accessories can bring a pop of colour & freshness for the season; take a look at the TismeEm Springtime and Blue Star Collection for ideas you can add. Our large 2 pint jugs are perfect for filling with flowers, and this Easter weekend you can enjoy 15% off! No code needed.
Let the light in
Switch up darker fabrics for lighter ones; think throws and cushions for easy and less expensive ways to change up the look of a room. Hannah at Just Unwind handmakes the most beautiful blankets and runners, well worth a look!
Dried, fresh or faux - it doesn’t matter! Flowers are quintessentially spring and they can’t help but lift your mood and bring a sense of new beginnings and life. Display them in jugs, vases or jam jars and place them all around the house, and especially by your desk while you’re working from home.
Check out Rosie Ida on Etsy for beautiful dried flower arrangements that last. (Frame in photo by @Framesthatsparkle).
And Dominique at The Quaye Life with Love for the most stunning bespoke faux flower arrangements! She offers a bespoke service so you can create your perfect arrangement.
